TGIS "Remote Hands" Facility
What is it?
Many times, when we're trying to help you resolve an issue on your computer, it takes a longer time than needed, simply because we have to direct you to make every mouse click, every text change, every settings modification.
A much easier(and quicker) way to help you, so that you are back, working with your computer as quickly as possible and not spending time on the telephone to us, is to have a facility that allows us to make the changes for you where needed. Enter our "Remote Hands" facility!
How does it work?
We direct you to a link on our website which runs a small program on your computer. This program connects securely to our helpdesk and allows us to actually make the changes we need to help you make. Once we are done we disconnect you. The program completely and securely uninstalls, leaving your computer exactly how it was before, with no chance of anyone connecting to it again, until the next time you need us. It's that simple!
Can you connect to it anytime you need us?
No. When we feel the best way to help you is to use the Remote Hands facility, we'll direct you to the link on the website so that you can initiate the connect. At all other times the facility is unavailable.
Is it secure?
Absolutely! While we are working on your computer the traffic between us is encrypted, so no-one can access your computer using the same link. Once we are complete and we disconnect you from our viewers, the program uninstalls and leaves no trace on your computer. Until you click on the link again, no-one can see or connect to your computer. It's entirely safe.
