TGIS History
TGIS was established in February 1994 to fill a gap in the UK Internet market and to complement the services offered by FONiX Info Systems - an online service established in 1984 - one of the first in the world.
TGIS quickly expanded to engulf FONiX Info Systems and, in 1996, became a founding member of The Internet Service Providers Consortium - an organistion established to link network providers together so as to enable us (as a group) to compete with BT, selling digital leased lines at competitive prices and offering Internet services such as Email, Web Hosting, Domain Registration and Hosting, and, using the now operative Data Centre in Slough, co-location of servers and Server Rental.
TGIS in the "noughties" consists of a partnership between the folk at our data centre, who look after our networks, servers, and ADSL installations and the Support Team, consisiting of a knowledgable IT team, based in two locations in the UK and connected by high speed Internet connectivity.

TGIS Now and in the Future
June 2007
TGIS has recently partnered with Broadband First, based in the midlands, to further enhance our service offering in the UK ADSL market. We will be launching several new products in Autumn 2007 and early 2008 - watch our home page for news.
TGIS goes international! We have recently opened a small office in Melbourne, Australia and are preparing to train our people there to provide the same level of service we currently provide in the UK. Training will take place in the UK, so you may hear the occasionial Aussie accent in parallel with our existing South African and English accents!
